Art is a vehicle for transformation through inspiration. Joana’s leadership brings on intentionality to inspire creativity and encourages social evolution innovatively.
Inspired by the principle of interconnectivity and, in opposition, our society’s ‘abnormally normalized’ sense of individualism, creative evolution brings together collectives of specialized artists to co-create innovative learning environments, performance models and art installations on demand geared toward social evolution.
From process to conclusion — both on and off stage — each project leads a co-creative effort that preserves self-expression and highlights the great power generated when different voices unite for a cause. The spaces and events produced re-shape the usual top down approach to art making and invite each audience member into a fun ride of personal transformation through sound, rhythm, color and movement.
By featuring different art forms together we are better able to create an experience for the audience that truly stimulates the senses, which helps set a nourishing ground for ‘the new’ to sprout.
The preferential state for individual evolution is a harmonious marriage between a state of openness and curiosity. In working with innovation, it is vital to artistically find the soft spot between existing infrastructures that evoke a sense of familiarity and innovative infrastructures that ignite curiosity and support our society of today into the future. Pace and presentation are carefully designed to reflect this aspect.
The added value of Joana’s creative direction exists through and from the collaborations among whoever is involved into a shift in consciousness, which opens up pathways into a new holistic paradigm where fulfilment, co-habitation, and peace are prevalent.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Social dances are well known for supporting human beings through times of hardship, empowering and inspiring them to“be”— simultaneously and authentically.
In the backstage of life, the social dance space gives birth to a silent revolution of thought, bringing to the table of humanity a place called the dance floor. It is here, through touch and rhythm, that a collective experience of ecstatic harmony, liberty and one-ness is physically experienced. Long-standing ideological pillars begin to crack, and what was once considered utopia begins to feel tangible.
Do the Hustle provides a transformational dance experience by presenting a program containing three consecutive segments — an interactive performance; a dance class; and a dance party.
On stage, an original composition is played live by Emmy-award nominee Chari Glogovac-Smith, that integrates classic disco music structures, sound healing frequencies, and original music produced by veteran Hustle DJ ‘Nelson Paradise Roman’, who has been a staple for the Hustle social dance scene throughout the years.
